Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

The water surrounding Marmari Bay, the nearby city of Karystos and the Petali Islands provide a great variety of depth and underwater structures visible to both independent divers of all levels and organised groups. Deep reefs, shipwrecks and caves can all be seen in Southern Evia's crystal-clear water.

Specialized diving centers in Karystos provide diving equipment, boats with escort, training, all responsibly organized, with safety as a first priority.

Kite-Surfing

Stable constant northern winds and a protected enclosed sea between he western shores of Marmari and Petali Islands, along with the strong currents in the channel of the Evian Gulf make Marmari an ideal place for kite surfing. Organised kitesurfing lessons, as well as equipment rentals, are available in Marmari, Karystos and Styra.
